Austin Cruiser Mech's

I need some mechanical help in the Austin area...just tried to call Edwin at Land Cruiser Specialist's and the phone's disconnected...Isn't there another cruiser shop on the south side of Austin on the way to San Marcos? Any help is appreciated...thanks.

You are talking about Wimberley 4x4..

There is another shop that also works on cruisers (and other Toyotas/Lexus), they are Bearden Automotive.

I've heard good things about Bearden too, but I've yet to have the cruiser to the shop yet (knock on wood).

Gordon Automotive on Burnet, just south of 183 has done good work on my cars. Honest, timely, and good prices. When my wife and I first met, Pep Boys quoted her $700 to replace some gaskets that were causing an oil leak. Gordon quoted $215, but the bill ended up being $185!

I just wanted to bump this thread up.

I too am looking a for a good Cruiser mechanic in the Austin area for my FJ-40.

I have had significant work done to my Cruiser by Wimberly 4x4 and will not go back. They overcharge for poor quality work that they dont back up.

Is there anyone In Austinn besides Beardan Auto that works on FJ-40s???
