Anyone familiar with this aussie designed tank? I am considering one for the rear of my 40. Available through man-a-fre here in the states and wondered if anyone down under is familiar with them. Good? Bad? (I also posted in Tech, but thought I might get more response here). Thanks,
Dom

Kind a looks like a long ranger from MAF!

Looks a lot like the old Con Fer aux tank. I wonder if it has the same fuel burping problem.

You can't fill up the aux tank as fast as the factory tank or fuel will come out shooting from the filler tube. Maybe my vent tube is blocked, may be the inlet tube is somehow kinked, but I've seen the same thing happen to others with ConFer's tank. Dunno about this unit though.

I haven't had any personal experience with them, but can tell you that Long Ranger have a good rep here.

I think I may have one of those tanks. I know it is around 50 gallons and is a PITA to fill. Hell they know me at the gas station and let me pump my own gas. (Oregon no self service.)

Is there anything I can do?

Sorry for Hi jack

No idea, I suspect it needs a vent somewhere from the tank to the filler neck close to the cap or the tube needs to be more vertical. All I can do now is fill it very slowly and stop every once in a while.

I have an Opposite Lock 190 liter (50.20 gallons) tank. Aweseme quality and big!

It took forever to get here and want cheap.
