AUGUST Meeting (2 Viewers)

So, I guess that campground is full with Jon, Rory, and Greg (and families). If anybody else wants to camp out at E Hill they need to get another spot...

I think you guys better discuss that one a bit more - my understanding is that you can have more than just a couple of people at each site. Seems like the time we were there before we had Phishes, Wolfes, O'Niell and the Williams' in 2 sites.

I'm basing my statements on this:

I don't think anybody has committed to share the site. I reserved for 3 vehicles and 10 people, not with anybody in mind. I'm going to the Rising Sun Rally, so I'll miss the meeting.

JMS

But, let's move this discussion to the Moab thread.

I'll attempt a tally of who's coming to the meeting

slimbuddha (Ron L.) 1 (maybe 5)
DanS HJ-45 (Dan) 1
frogger (Chris) 1 (maybe 6)
beno (Onur) 1 (too late for food - I won't even save you any)
irbrito (?) 1
SteveLCetc (Steve) 2
evanz80 (Evan) 2
o2bin4lo (James) 4
marcfj60 (Me) 4
Beowulf (Mike) 1 (or 2, or 3)
TroutRunner (Graham) 1 (4)
Ruadrigh (Rory) 1 (2)
Rudical 1
Eric 1

Did I miss anybody?

For the new people, the recommendation is that you bring some food to share (main, side or dessert) and drinks for yourself. There's usually water and tea available as well.

I'll try to remember to call Jack Pressler unless someone else already has.

Maynards. 1 or 2 or 3 depending on work schedule.

I'll be there for sure. Not sure if I'm bringing the other 3 yet.

We don't haze 100-Series owners, just obnoxious 60-Series owners. :D

Steve M from Santa Fe is a club member and he has a very tricked out 100. Steve has been on a couple of runs but I have heard he is dealing with some health issues right now so it might be a while before he is back in action.

Here is the best pic that I have of SteveM's 100. He was getting a little tug from Cajun_Transplant to get him out of the creek.

That is one fine looking picture.

so my weekend plans got a huge kibosh. work has taken priority :crybaby:

I will be at the meeting possible with wife in tow.

Well that really sucks. I was looking forward to not seeing you.:flipoff2:

Seriously, sorry to hear you couldn't make it to the swap meet. See you Saturday.

Thanks Marc. Just a reminder: I still have those parts you wanted. They are at my buddies tow yard on Broadway. There is no rush to move them, so we can get them whenever, kinda (looks like 12hr days including the weekend till the end of the month for me).

To David: The chassis is still available but now has no wheels. Discount Tires won't mount tiresthat are ten years or older.:frown:

Do we need to go there together to get them or can I just call the guy and arrange to pick them up myself? Are the parts I had requested removed/separated from where they normally would be attached to the truck or do I need to take tools with me?

all parts are seperated from the truck. I have a new work schedule: 8pm - 8am, so I can meet you there anytime Saturday (well... almost). And no I don't have to be there, but I don't mind going.

Rory, did you see if the truck had the center vent pull knob?

I didn't think anybody except security worked a night shift out there. Your department must really be slammed, unlike the rest of the shop.

Saturday is no good for me. I could try for tomorrow but I've got a meeting in the morning and I need some time to round up something big enough to haul the big parts away. I think I can borrow a big Ford from my brother-in-law. Let's figure it out Saturday night if you make it to the meeting.

I plan on going too. It will only be me.

Rudy
