Audio System issues

2000 LC100 - First time post with my 6th Land Cruiser (3 40s and 3 100s) including a 99 no sunroof, cloth seat no third row 100. I am having trouble with the in dash 6 disc CD unit. Does anyone have a clean replacement and/or will an LX Nac system plug into the factiry harness?

I am considering ebaying my stock head unit, single disc and cassette from a 99 will that work? PM me if interested. I have had the truck one day and I am ready to upgrade.

I had the same unit in my 99. Thanks but I am looking for a 6 disc unit or the NAC upgrade.

If the Nakamichi will plug right in I would prefer it, if not the stock 6 disc would be fine.

I'm jealous of your non-leather, non-sunroof truck. Did you special order it or just get lucky?

I spent 8yrs working for a Toyota Distributor. We had several 100s come through the port with cloth seats. If you remember in 98 and 99 LC were HOT and dealers could not get enough of them. We would order from Japan with any combination we could get. Once arriving at the Port almost all of them get Port installed leather (because that's what the public wanted). I sold my 98 with 32k Leather then sold my 99 with 60k and the cloth still looked new (much better than the leather) My 2000 is loaded with 49k since the kids are older the leather is still looking great. By the way the 99 no rear seat and no rear air ran great because it was lighter than the others.

I had 2 of the OEM 6 disc units die in my 2000, finaly just replaced it with an Ecispe head unit........I could not be happier

If you get an answer on the Nak check on ebay; I saw a unit on there last night.

Thanks for the info - whats the model number for the Ecispe unit? Still looking for an answer about Nak plugging into stock wiring?
