Auburn Gear Instant Rebates

I have debated getting an auburn LSD for the rear of my 100 since the cost of air lockers is so high. A lot of owners of other vehicles, especially domestic, appear to love them, but they don't get much love here. Do you think these would be beneficial on a 100 series with ATRAC? My vehicle is my DD and I don't rock crawl.

Since this forum is more offroad oriented you will not see much love for LSD Units. That said the LSD units are very popular and do serve a great purpose. The benefits are added traction for daily driving at much lower cost, the only downfall is that they are not ideal for serious offroading. "most people on ih8mud" are not the same as "most people" in general, and would favor Locking differentials. I run the Auburn in my Tundra and prefer it to a selectable locker as it doesnt get used on trails and the truck really benefits from the traction for daily driving, dirt roads, mud, snow, gravel, etc. I wouldn't want a selectable locker in this truck as it would not benefit me for daily driving. With a land cruiser / jeep / suv there generally isnt too much of a traction problem with open diff for daily driving, and they tend to see heavier offroad use where a selectable locker has a real advantage.
