Does anyone have any experience with these? I have been reading some pretty positive reports and they are priced well. Any pros or cons??

I prefer to buy tires (a critical safety component) from a major manufacturer.

Sidewall treads are nothing special. On that design front, the Geolandar, KO2, Falkens, and others are all better.

45,000 mile tread warranty is curious. Most are higher.

What's the price per tire?

Never even heard of them which is a really bad sign. First google result doesn't inspire any confidence at all. Why not going with any of the real names in tires? There are at least 8 GREAT tires I can think of off the top of my head without even trying - don't risk it with a budget/no name brand.

"The Trail Blade X/T is a new type of multi-terrain tire. As another collaboration with Quartermaster Knives, the X/T cuts into the segment between traditional M/T and A/T tires. It offers the open shoulder and sidewall tread lugs of a mud terrain, combined with the off road ability of an all-terrain and the road feel of a highway tire. The design and variety of sizes brings a whole new look to SUV, Cross Overs and pickups as never before. "

What does that even mean? A knife manufacturer making tires?

One of the very first reviews:

"Do not buy this tire... I had a lot of problems with the atturo trail blade mt on my jeep but decided to give these a go... BIG MISTAKE. They are supposed to be ats but they're louder than the MT's and they are horrible tires.. Today on my way to work i got a flat because a hard piece of PLASTIC punctured these pieces of garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS TIRE!!!"

Another one of the first reviews:

"tires are ok tires for a short time. hard to keep balanced. uneven wear. starts off with good traction when you first get them, goes away fast. noise isn't that much of a concern for me due to my loud exhaust. they have a nice look to them but don't seem to last long. I drive 100 miles a day for work and only 2 years of these tires looking for a new set. They dont seem to handle gravel roads well or roads with cracks."

I hadn't heard of them before I started an early search. I had have Toyo AT, BFG KO2 and Falkens on my 80. When I got the Falkens I had not heard of them either.

There are some pretty good review on Ram and Jeep forum.

while I agree tires are generally a you get what you pay for I thought I would ask, I am still leaning toward BFG's.

I'll bump this... seems like the Atturo's have some decent reviews and are getting a lot more involved in the racing scene. Not much point in spending all that money on promotion if you aren't trying to become an enthusiast tire. Not going to be a successful enthusiast tire without making a decent product and they are getting decent love on Youtube. I may pick up a set of the Atturo Trailblade X/T in 295/70/18 for Cruise Moab. I can put a couple thousand highway miles on them and beat the crap out of them on the trails and only be out $1177 (with tax and install for a set of 5) if I hate them. Thats about $1000 less than Ridge Grapplers, which is what I would get otherwise. Maybe I'll put the Atturo's on my old wheels and leave the Duratracs on my new wheels and just swap based on likelihood of wheel damage.

I run Kenda's, similarly a secondary brand. They're fine. One out of five was a bit wonky to balance and I had to put in a few oz of beads to compensate. I'm enjoying the ride and price - $1000 for five 35s. I don't expect them to last 50,000 miles, and I am sure I'll move on to another tire before that much mileage anyway, just to try something else (M/T or an R/T maybe).

Kenda is now owned by Cooper, but how much is Cooper influencing design, rubber, quality? I don't know.

Atturo is probably owned by one of the big makers too, pretty much all the brands except the true Chinese brands are owned by one of the tire conglomerates.

One thing I knew I wasn't doing was getting a set of KO2s. Not only super expensive, but not a new tread design or rubber design. I'd be on KM3 before KO2. Maybe they'll start offering a narrow KM3 by the time I'm ready to move on.
