I have been ignoring the fact my ashtray never stayed in since I bought my 100. What am I missing for the assembly? Seems like there should be a spring on the top metal piece to raise and lower when opening or closing.

I figured I was missing a spring. Thanks everyone for the photos, I am betting the expense vs reward is not there to get a new ashtray. I might have to figure out an iPhone mount in its place. Thanks again!
You might contact cruiserparts.net. They carry the ashtray, but also may be able to work a deal for just the spring. Good luck!
