AS-450 Winch Help

Hello all.

I just bought a Surf and think its a great piece of kit.

The winch however is not wired up and does not ever appear to have been used.

I can See where the power and earth appear to go but there is a little grey 2 prong connector. Will the winch work if this is not wired in ??. Iv read on the forums a solenoid may need to go there. can I get 1 anywhere ??

A Wiring diagram would be a great help if anyone has 1.

The winch is a AS-450. I believe this is the standard winch.

I believe the 2 pronger is to activate the solenoid... I don't have any diagrams...

Right I have the winch working when wired directly to the battery and with an ignition live on the handset. I know the other small wire is for the handset to activate the solenoid and allow power. So there is no live at the winch when it does not need it.

I bought a winch solenoid :-

anyone have any idea how to wire this up ? any wiring diagrams would help

Wiring for winch

Hi any luck with wiring up you toyota as-450 winch, i,ve also got the same winch so i wonder if you can give me some advice.
