So..... Just curious, now that we have our choices, who will you be rooting for to win in our house?

Personally, I like the analogy of trying to choose between a proctology exam or a colonoscopy.:moon:

Lol...I Just want a close, exciting game. Not like last years...

What Cards (besides Calais) are in the Probowl this Weekend?

Justin Bethel (special teams), Patrick Peterson and Antonio Comratrie (corners)

Im real curious on who the cue balls end up going with for Defensive coordinator/staff

Biggest disappointment ever as a GB fan.

Was born in Green Bay seen plenty of disappointing games. Prior to Brett Favre Packers had never lost a playoff game at home. Rodgers has continued with the new tradition of losing playoff games at home. Sunday's loss was a disappointment but the disappointment started with the loss in Buffalo late in the season. At that stage of the season it was clear winning out was a must if they didn't want to go to Seattle in the playoffs. Didn't take a genius to see with the Card's quarterback situation there was a very real chance Seahawks were going to win out. While Rodgers may have better stats I always loved the passion Favre brought to the game. Something I see lacking in the Packers now. The NFL network plays some of the old great games with interviews with the players. What went in the huddle in key plays of must do I don't see happening today.

Hope they can breathe after that choke

I agreed they choked but Seattle also go lucky. If the Packer player had been able to hold onto the wet ball on the onside kick or the lucky catch on broken play on the two conversion the game very well have ended differently. But I also blame it on the coach for not having his team up for the game. Within the five yard line two times in the first quarter and having to settle for field goals showed the players weren't hungry enough for the win. Wison's last interception and the Packer just laid down like he had just guaranteed the win with that much time on the clock showed the player didn't understand the need for more points rather than just sitting on their lead. Since Favre's second Super Bowl that was a loss to Denver I've been unhappy with the head coach at Green Bay. Holmgren showed no class asking out of his contract the week before the Super Bowl. Personally I think they should have told him win the big game and you can go. Instead he coached the following year and they didn't even make the playoffs. After the season he was said he planned to do he said he planned to talk to different teams to see his options but made a beeline straight to Seattle where he wanted to go a year early. When asked how he handled it with the players he said he had a talk with them explaining this is a business and there was good chance he wouldn't be back next year. Something the players say never happened. The Ted Thompson/Mike McCarthy era hasn't impressed me. Because the way the team really doesn't have a owners rather thousand of share holders whose shares are worthless coaching changes don't happen as easily as somewhere like Dallas, contract or not a coach could be gone at anytime. We now have the controversy with the Patriots. With all the money in the NFL, it comes to a championship game they trust who handling the balls to the teams themselves. Even thought the Patriots with their current head coach who have already been caught cheating. Personally the year the Saints won the super bowl I think they should have been stripped from them after they were found guilty of paying a bounty to players who took certain players from the other team out of the game. I remember a defensive player who wasn't happy with his suspension and fines was talking about taking it court. Curious if that did happen and there was trial if the penalties would have included jail time instead of suspensions. Outside the NFL this more than just assault it's organized crime.

Just for the record I was really hoping the Cards were going to be able to do it this year. A shame to have a cheap shot take Palmer out and change their whole season. I have no interest in the teams going to the super bowl and probably won't watch. Last week's Packer/Seattle game will probably be the best game played during playoffs. That's not that uncommon to have the conference champion game be better than the super bowl. Something that couldn't be said of the Card's game against the Steelers. Hopefully next year the team can stay healthy.

I agree most of the NFL has become too structured and methodical. Creativity and innovation are out. The Packers didn't play to win, they played like they were afraid to lose.

I seem to remember having the same criticism of the cards at one point this season. This game has become less about beating someone and more exploiting some little crack to gain a miniscule aadvantage. zzzzzzzz

I don't much care for either of the SB teams. But they are two of the most creative teams in the game. As boring as the NFL has become, it's ironic that both are so universally despised.

I have one player on each team that I respect, other than that, I will be rooting for a second helping of bbq and another beer with friends on game day (hope the commercials are good);)

I'm going to my first Pro Bowl this weekend...I know, the tailgating may hold more intrigue. It should at least be fun.

"Coaches" Michael Irvin and Chris Carter do their draft tomorrow and pick their teams. No more NFC vs AFC, create your fantasy team type drafting. Nfl was hoping by moving to states would attract more players from dropping out. Didn't really help - still some folks are hurting or in superbowl

I wish I had an invitation to the Biltmore on (I believe it's tomorrow) celebrity roasting of Terry Bradshaw, sounds like a hoot.

Just got to hear the lead up to the story today, any good news on Bidwell and Fitz reaching an agreement?

Fitzgerald for 2 more years.

I like it. With all the local endorsemenets and being the face of the team - it behooved both sides to make a deal to keep Fitz in AZ. The guy still has some of the best hands in the game.

sounds like the Cards have some interest in potential free agent Demarco Murray - just the Offensive player of the year last year with over 1800 yards last season. A full 500 yards over the 2nd place guy Levon Bell

what do you Cards followers think?

I personally think our D is fine, we need to put up some points and offensive production - Id love to see it.

I doesn't seem to be Keim's style to spend stupid money on one player. You also have to wonder how much of that production was due to the line. .
I'd love to see Murray here but they may be able do just as well with a guy that costs half the price.

True on all points

There are some defensive potential draft picks that could add to the team;

ILB, Eric Kendricks:

Shane Ray, DE:
