Looked like a non-contact ACL tear on Palmer. He can't make a miraculous recovery from this one. I just hope Stanton can stay healthy this time around.

While Stanton isn't as gifted as Palmer he is more than capable and more athletic. Looks like we need to count on him the rest of the season.

I wonder when they put Pamer on IR, if they sign a veteran QB to back up Stanton. And who at might be?

Oh yeah...

8-1 baby! :bounce2:

My money would be on Dixon or Lindley. Both know the system. My bet is they'll opt for Lindley, he was with the team last year and is most ready to play.

Yeah I'm 99% sure it's ACL. That whole scenerio with how he went down and how he reacted screamed it. Feel sorry for the guy, same knee when he was in Cincy. Cards D is good though and the receiving core is stupid deep.

Got to feel awful for Palmer, he was totally vested to help this team achieve something great and get that 'no playoff win' monkey off his back. At 35, and possible roster changes next season, I'm sure he is thinking that once in a lifetime chance might have just slipped through his fingers...

Agreed Rob, LT is a long term project and while Lindley was thrown to the wolves as a rookie behind a weak line, he has made good progress and seasoning according to BA since then. He knows the playbook and the team. The only sensible choice right now to back up Stanton.

BA has got Stanton scheduled to work out this week on a Slippy Slide and how to beat your cheeks to the sideline. I am all behind that. Not ready to wrap my head around Lindley or Thomas till next training camp.. Course my fingers are crossed.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Lindley jump to number 2. I don't think they're eager to turn things over to Thomas if Stanton gets dinged.

That's what I thought also. Lindley #2 but apparently the media thinks he is #3.
Guess its BA's decision at that time if it ever comes to that (hopefully not)

Our defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles will be a hot head coaching prosect at the end of the season. In a great move, our front office extended his contract to 2017 and a healthy raise

While he can leave at any time, this deal will make it to where it will need to be the "right" opportunity and he can stay where he is comfortable and keep kicking butt with the Cardinals.

Great move.

Looking forward to one of t he biggest games for the Cards so far this year with the 7-2 Lions. They are very similar to us, weak running game, great defense. Our cornerbacks are better than their backfield and I think the game will be won there. Hopefully P2 keeps up his resurgence and limits Calvin Johnson to a mediocre day.

Agree, smart move by the cards. It's amazing that the business end of this club has gone from dark ages to backward to competent to forward thinking in just a few years. It's the suits that put the wheels on the bus and the butts in the seats, BA and his staff make up a hell of a driver/pit crew combination. If BA had been here ten years ago, he'd be fishing somewhere by now.

^^^^^Spot On...

One could always hope (in Bowles case), That pulling in one of the best assistant salaries in the league and being happy with the franchise you are involved with would trump the lure of leaving.

No lose proposition IMO. Either it entices him to stay or they don't have to pay him.

Injury report has one of their guards out, the other guard is questionable. Nick Fairley on defense is out and Reggie Bush their running back might play but was hurt enough to not practice all week.

For us Stinson on the D line is out. I'm glad that our RB Taylor is back: Ellington needs some relief!

The churning/ contant upgrading of the roster continues. They picked up Josh Mauro off the Steeelers PS and signed him. A big 6-6, 282 Defensive end from Stanford that I thought we would pick up in this most recent draft. he Pittsburg blogs are all very pissed off we grabbed him which confirms the idea this kid has a lot to offer. Dont know for insurance depth for Stinson who can't heal that toe of his or looking for someone to help get pressure on the QB with some kind of pass rush threat?
To make room, We released Keiser who didn't do anything after a decent Chargers game and hardly played since.

another reason the Cards will win tomorrow
