Damn, I didn't realize things had changed so much as far as hammers go. I guess I'm behind times. When I was swingiging a hammer for a living it was a 16 oz wood handle Plumb for trim work and a 28 oz Estwing for framing

If you are a framer buy the stiletto with the Titanium handle it is completely worth it, they work wonderful either the 16 or the 14. It is about $350 but it will save your hands a lot of pain.

If you paid $350 for a Stiletto TiBone, you got ripped off. You can buy them all day long at Amazon for $220:

Amazon.com: Stiletto TB15MC TiBone 15-Ounce Titanium Milled-Face Hammer: Home Improvement

I ended up putting the newer Dalluge on my Wish List, let's see if Santa can come thru for me.

Amazon.com: Dalluge DDT16P 16 Ounce DDTP Titanium Hammer: Home Improvement

My rough framing hammer is a 24oz steel shank Estwing.

My finish framing hammer is a 16oz steel shank Estwing.
