Hey everyone,

Are sales still going strong for the FJ or have they dropped off somewhat? One local dealer had about 8 on the lot not sold. Any input? I am curious to see if they will drop the price below the sticker any time soon.

Looks like the FJ came within a couple of hunred units to matching the 4x4 Taco

6259 (fj) vs 6455 (4wd Taco)

;p

Toyota of Easley is selling them as fast as they come in. I was lucky when I got mine because they had a large inventory. I paid 29K for a fully loaded one. The same model is now going for 32 to 34K. They got one with a few extras like dvd for 41K. I already added dvd to mine for less than 1K installed.

There are a ton here in Atlanta just sitting on lots. Every toyota dealership I have seen has had atleast 5 on their lot for the last few months.

Mine had a $3999 dealer markup over MSRP, got it for $2400 under MSRP ($33,399 dealer sticker, $29,400 MSRP sticker, $27,000 price) Got mine at Gosch in Hemet, Moss in Moreno Valley offered $2300 off MSRP for any in stock unit - they had 6 before labor day, bought mine just after & the holiday sale knocked out alll inventory.

NOTE: The sales guys on the floor are all going to be MSRP or higher, had to go to Fleet Dept at Moss to get the deep deal, and had to laugh in the sales managers face at Gosch to get him to realize I wasnt playing when I was ready to walk out after he dropped the dealer markup & offered it at MSRP, he wanted the sale, did what it took, & everything went really smooth after that, even got me over 1% lower APR than Moss offered (6.2% at Gosch vs 7.3% at Moss)

I spoke with a southeast toyota sales manager about this....he said they were still selling every black and silver they had, but that the blue and other colors were slowing a bit. He wasn't concerned though....
Oh, and he's a friend so he wasn't "selling" me.
