I had this bumper installed by a shop more unfamiliar with the process than they led me to believe and one of the issues they weren’t able to address before giving the truck back to me was the tire swing didn’t align properly when closed. They ingeniously (read sarcasm) spaced out the latch bracket to allow it to close all the way without hitting the rear name plate on the hatch.

I removed the spacers and loosened the bumper mounting bolts enough to bump it back a little further but it’s still not far enough for the swing arm to close and align with the tow hitch plate.

TLDR: tire swing hits the back hatch and won’t close all the way.

I loosened 2 19mm on the top and 6 19mm mounting bolts underneath and it will NOT move any further back.

What am I missing to get this to fit properly?

That is very worrisome because I was looking at buying that exact bumper down here in Atlanta for my other 200 series

I put that same bumper with both swing outs on my 2011 200 series and how to do some grinding on the frame
