How many of you are running aftermarket bumpers with the stock torsion bars? Christo made a good point in a post when he said stock torsion bars can be adjusted to level out the front end after installing a bumper but it doesn't compensate for the new 150 + lbs hanging off the front end (sorry Christo if I butchered the quote).

I want to install a bumper but don't to upgrade the tb's at this time. I don't flog my rides so I'm confident the stock bars will be fine for a while.

How many people are running stock vs. upgraded torsion bars?

I've run the Stock T-Bars for a year (just have not gotten around to replacing them with the OMEs in my garage) without any issues. They are cranked. I run the Slee front and his steel skids. Truck gets wheeled several times a month.

I run stock torsion bars with ARB, re-enforced stock skids and sliders. It rides fine. You are free to drive my truck around the block and see for yourself. My torsion bars were swapped with pfran's much newer and lower mileage ones.

9 months on my OEM re-indexed torsion bars w/ an ARB up front. Ride is fine. I'll be rebooting my CV's and increasing the ride height soon, but I don't foresee any issues.

Sounds like I'll be in very good company sticking w/the oem tb's for a while. Many thanks for the piece of mind guys.

Iron Man combo bar w/ 12k Warn winch. Stock torsion bars still, no issues yet.

Picking up my Sahara bar next week and will be installing my winch with the bar soon after. If I need to re-index the bars then thats what I will do, the comments above are good to see.

I am running an ARB up front with stock torsion bars. Thinking about rear bumper with stock rear springs to see how it works...

I guess a cheap way to test would be to have someone who weights around the same weight as an ARB and sit on the front bumper area of the car.
