Tried to search but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm leaking oil out of my front locker sileniod and it blows oil out of my breather hose/axle connection point. When the breather is disconnected the compressor doesn't shut off.
I'm guessing that it's the o-ring I've heard about, but thought i'd ask here first. Has anyone had this problem before that could give me some advice?

Thanks, Tim

Bad seals/o-rings. When you attempt to engage the locker the air is blowing past the o-rings and pressurizing the axle housing.

Get some new o-rings, a front axle rebuild kit and dig in.

Get 2 new O rings, take the 3rd out. Clear up all the oil in your air hose and solenoid. Replace the old O rings in the ARB locker with the new ones. Make sure the O rings are fitted flat WITHOUT any twist on them. Test the lcoker. If it works and your axle seals are OK, put every thing back in and go to town

Thanks for the help.

Do one thing first:
-check to make sure that the axle breather hose is totally free and clear.
- disconnect the ARB hose at the Diff and then engage the solenoid to blow out any oil in the line
-reconnect and see if it's still happening.

On both of my vehicles, the front diffs leaked oil through the ARB line upon disengagement. My guess is that it's because of the short runs from the solenoid to the lockers. If the two O rings are indeed leaking then you should be able to 1) hear it hissing 2) watch the pressure gauge drop after engagement

Good luck.

Ali
