I bought a used arb front bumper and no instructions came with it. I did a search and came up with nothing. Anyone know if there is a writeup or instructions somewhere?
thanks

I would just love to find a used one!! All the best!

Did you get any of the bolts? It's pretty straightforward, I never looked at the instructions that came with mine. Yank old bumper, ARB slides onto frame horns (possibly with some help from a hammer or pry bar), line up holes on ARB with holes in frame and start bolting it up. IIRC there are 5 or 6 bolts each side. Finger tight until you've got them all in place.

Then you tap into the turn signals using either scotch-locks or other splice.

So easy a caveman can do it!

Yes a bunch of bolts came with it just no instructions.
thanks

Take your OEM bumper off and look at the holes in the front frame horns. I think the ARB uses two on top, two on the sides, and two on the bottom. Those 6 are pretty much all the same length, can't remember if they're different sizes. There are two long ass bolts, those are for the fairlead. There are also two metal spacer plates, they're used to span the gap between the bumper and where the OEM front tow hooks go.

Once you get the old bumper off and slide the ARB on, you'll see how it goes together, it's really a "one way only" kind of thing.

I just installed my ARB winch bumper. It came with all the hardware need to be mounted. The OEM recovery hooks will need be removed and remounted with the ARB spacers using the longer bolts from the bumper. There are a total of 12 bolts. 6 bolts on each frame rail. Each bolts comes with a washer and a lock washer.

It also came with a license bracket, winch solenoid bracket and all the nuts, bolts, and washers to mount it to the bumper.

Just did mine in April...Yes on the 6 bolts per side (2 top, 2 bottom, 2 from inside the frame rail). I don't think all of the bolts were the same size but I may be wrong on that. The ARB instructions are nothing to write home about so you aren't really missing anything there  A few pictures would have helped but I'm pretty low on the banana scale.

Also, on the OEM bumper the bumper itself comes off but so do some items mounted to the frame horns. It is obvious once you start and see how the ARB should slide onto the frame horns what needs to come off. If you look at the first picture in this RS thread (click here) it shows you what it looks like with the OEM bumper and related piece parts off.

Is your bumper the winch or non-winch model? That will help to determine how much hardware you should have. If you need me to, I could scan in the instructions and email them to you. Not sure if they can be posted due to copyright reasons?

PM if you'd like the instructions.

Oh, and on the lights in the bumper. Do a search as there are a couple good threads on MUD that detail what to connect where, especially if you'd like them to blink. If you can't find them let me know as I think I have them marked.

Last, are you familiar with Rising Sun 4x4 Club in Denver? If not then you might want to look into it (http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/). There is a club meeting tomorrow night (6/6/07) at Stevinson Toyota West and if nothing else you could come see a few ARBs mounted up and ask questions in person :D

Thanks that should do it, and yes it is the winch model. I guess I will ask if I have any more questions.
thanks

it's very straight-forward
