About to mount my ARB in my truck, finally. I'm looking at the ARB fridge slides, because I really don't need any kind of drop slide at all.

I see they recently changed the model numbers, and the price went up 50%.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these ARB slides that might sway me one way or the other?

Thanks,

I dont use a slide, with the bottom tailgate up you can reach right into the cooler with no problem. Are you mounting the slides on a box?

Yes, it's going in my drawer system, below.

I'm working on modifying it to where i can take out the left side drawer and put a platform in that will accept the slide.

Nice drawer setup. Just a thought, why not do the box mods and set your fridge in there and see if you like it that way. If not then you can add the slide later.

Thanks, but I know I'm going to want it to slide out at some point while i'm camping, etc. Might as well do it all at once while I'm motivated.

I have one that I use on my ARB fridge. Works great, is solid, and rattle free. I picked it up used on expeditionportal.com.

Awesome, that's just what i'm looking for. Does the part number end in 20 or 21?

Just trying to figure out if the earlier model (ends in 20) was upgraded so quick because of people having problems...It's still for sale and $100 less.

I don't know what model it was. It is designed for the plastic ARB 50L fridges. What I like about it is that it is pretty low profile when you don't have a fridge mounted.

If you made your drawers then you can surely make a simple fridge slide!

Fridge slides are as not as easy to make as one would assume. There is a lot of weight torque placed on the end of the slide when the fridge is all the way out. I just completed a home made fridge slide, so let me know if you want any ideas.

Same with a fully loaded drawer?

Thanks, and I probably could. I'm thinking I really want the finished look of a ready made slide though.

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

another option.. ARB floor slide

It is only 5 1/2 inches high frig slide on top and still has a small drawer.

This is exactly what I'm going to try and emulate when i modify my drawer system this weekend...

Keep us posted on your progress on a homemade version of your fridge slide....I need/want one too!

This is a store bought from ARB, really good stuff. Just expensive.

I would love to get my hands on the latching / trim hardware though...

Nice drawer setup. I noticed that the sides seem to be unused. Is there a way to stash gear there?

They are definitely used. Both the sides and the end facing the 2nd row are fitted with hinged wings that flip up, see below
