Ready to purchase an ARB awning. What do do you folks recommend? Also planning to buy a roof rack, looking at the Dissent. Would like some real world advice for fit and suitability for short weekend adventures. Anything longer and I will use the motorhome to keep my wife happy with a/c. clean toilet and her TV.

I run a 2500 on a dissent rack. No problems or complaints with either. 2500 is a little tricky to set up with one person, but can be done with a little practice.

I’m usually doing 1-3 night adventures with two people and a dog. Once or twice a year we do a weeklong excursion.

One plus about the dissent is it is very easy to remove the awning if you don’t want it mounted for daily driving. I leave mine mounted full time.

2500 on factory roof rack.

I would say 2500. Do you know if you plan to get the ARB deluxe awning room? That might be the deal breaker. I accidentally ordered the smaller one and didn't realize it until I was setting it up. Way too small, IMO.

If you plan to use it with the awning room, the 2500 allows you to access the front seat while inside. My kiddo and I stayed in Ouray and just used the awning tent each night - it was perfect for the two of us and we could access the front and middle seats if we needed to.

If I get the awning room as I plan to do, then I need the 2500? I like the clean look of the 2000 but want a good fitting room for the grandkids to sleep in.

Thanks for all the replies and photos guys, Y 'all are awesome!

Don't buy an awning for the looks! -----> Buy an awning for your needs.

2500 offers 25% more protection against rain or sun.

They offer an awning room to fit either option. But you have to buy the room to fit that awning.

Thanks for all the comments and advise. Going to go with the 2500 x 2500 setup. You folks are a world of experience and common sense advice, Thanks
