Ya it is, and yes i work for the city.

I think I may have seen your rig driving around town. You should start a new thread introducing yourself and your 42. Would be nice to see some pics bigger than your avatar. :D

Ok, lets get an idea of what dates are best for everyone. Sounds like Saturdays work. So how about April 20 or 27th? Gives everyone time to plan and get their rigs ready.

Both of those days work for me. Gives me time to install my new compressor and air horns.

20th or 27th works for me too.

Still on nights... seem to be rocking the stainless tig .. Looks like i will be on nights for along time.

Put day insurance on that pig

Let's pick the 27th and move on with the henpecking on where to go

Sounds good. I updated the first post with the date. Now lets hear suggestions on where we are going.

Alright guys I scouted out an entrance and have a proposed destination. I never entered this way before myself so I check out the island timberlands manned gate in Duncan off Glenora rd. ( you actually turn off glenora on to waters rd and then onto the Gated logging rd, which one of my maps calls shawnigan rd) in any case , the gate guy gave the low down, open sat and sun 7-5, you sign your name and away you go, has to be an insured vehicle. I think we should enter here and have Pete's pond as a destination. Pete's pond isn't on every map, but it's on the map the gate guard has, I've attached a crappy pic I took of it. There shouldn't be any crazy wheeling to get there but I'm sure we can find something to flex on. Me and wombat have been to the lake before and planted a geocache but we entered in a different way. I don't think we' ll have trouble with snow, I didn't see any today, maybe we'd encounter some deeper into the hills, or if we tried climbing up a hill
Waddaya think

That sounds like a great option to me. I vote lets do it. Thanks a lot for looking into that option for us Dingo.

As this appears to be before Duncan where do you want to congregate before we head out in the morning? Can we meet earlyish again? Maybe 8:30 so we can make the most of the day?

Wonder if there are any fish in that lake?

Serious Coffee in South Duncan would be perfect, on the Highway @ Boys rd. Then we can leave right down Boys rd, and be at gate in 5 min.

I'm playing around in imapbc trying to get a better map of this area. I attached a pdf of the best I can get so far. I think Pete's Pond is the one on the San Juan River North West of Waterloo Mountain, not sure though...
