Jerod didn't tell you guy's about the guest house? It's ... quite nice :D

Ok, so lets get a head count on this, if you're in, please speak up.

Brian and Tony sound like they are coming up from the south. But so everyone knows there was a land slide between the Forks of Salmon and Somes Bar, witch is the way to the claim from the west coast. And the road is closed as far as I know. There are ways around but none of them are quick... So if you're thinking about coming that way we'll have to keep our ear to the ground.

As of now I'm thinking the northern crew can meet me in Yreka Friday afternoon, and the southern group can jump from I-5 via the Gazelle-Callahan road and meet us in Etna. Etna is the last gas before the claim which is about 45 minutes away at that point.

Special K Myself and the girls are still in :D

Chad and I are still in, have a few ride issues to sort out but not show stoppers at this point.
That picture of the bobbed P/U on Eric's thread is a sweet looking truck, is it local?
Al

I need to convince Kate it will be her best birthday party ever. LOL. Ummm.... we will see if I can sell that one.

So planning on it, yes. Actually being able to TBD.

Not a very good question, because I'm sure I know the answer. Is there cell phone service there jerod. I only ask is because I'm on call that weekend.

Josh

Its not that type of on call, I'm part of a CAL-FIRE Team that gets called up to manage the large fires in the state. So being away from home is not that big of deal because you don't know where the large fires will happen. Hell with the winter you and I have had it could be right out of Yreka, so I would be closer to the action if I was with you guys, but without cell service I don't think I'll make it.

Josh

Yeah, it'd be nice to have you near by for a bit, but i understand the phone issue. Winter? What winter? did you get one? Cause I usually have to shovel my dads roof off a few times, and this year he got one good snow of about 3 inches and it was gone in a few days... Scary!

Josh I'm pretty sure that my HAM will be able to hit at least one of the local repeaters from the claim. I don't know if that would be an option but I do know that HAM is used for a good bit of emergency comunication so maybe if there is anyone that will be getting called out that has a HAM radio they could relay to us? ... just a thought, hate to see you not be able to make it.

OK, So whats the exact plan? I dont know that the wif will be able to get Friday off so what should be my plan of action???

Those who can, will meet up with me in Yreka Friday afternoon and head to the claim. Our southern friends will meet up with us in Etna on the way. We'll camp friday and saturday night and head home on sunday. If people need to come in late Friday or Saturday morning that's not a big deal. We can leave a rig or something out to mark where the turn off is. Like I said the road in is a little bumpy, but it shouldn't be trouble for most of us.

We are most likely coming in on Sat morning. Anyone else?

Sounds good D :) Nothing around here happens early with the little one, but we can arrange a close time to get outta dodge.
