I'm sure this one's old too but here it is anyway:

A very gentle southern lady was driving across the Savannah River Bridge in Georgia one day. As she neared the top of the bridge, she noticed a young man fixin' to jump. She stopped her car, rolled down the window and said, "Please sir, don't jump, think of your dear mother and father."

He replied, "Mom and Dad are both dead; I'm going to jump."

She said, "Well, think of your wife and children."

He replied, "I'm not married and I don't have any kids."

Grasping for any opportunity, she cried, "Think of your job, there's work still to be done."

"I was fired today and have no prospect of another job."
Running out of ideas, she appealed to his patriotism and said, "Well, think of Robert E. Lee."

He replied, ''Who's Robert E. Lee?''

She replied, ''Well bless your heart sugar, just go ahead and jump."

Random question....... how difficult is it to take off and put back on the chrome trim around the headlights and grill area? I'm wanting to paint them black, but don't want to start something I can't finish......thanks

I think you have to take the whole headlight out. You should be fine doing it.

If it is like the 80 series, the side markers are one screw per side and a good tug. Then the headlights have 4 bolts each and the wiring. Grill is a few screws and some clips... It all comes out pretty easily just take your time to not break any of the tabs, etc.

The trim is molded as part of the parts so you will have to tape things up, scotch-brite the chrome and then spray-bomb it. I would also look at some kind of plastic paint to make sure it stays a little flexible on the trim.

Quick update on Leah. We came home from hospital on Wednesday 1-8-14. Several test came back totally normal but she's still in pretty good abdominal pain. New gi dr diagnosed her with cyclic vomiting syndrome. Not life threatening or anything we can't get through.

Thanks for all the kind words and prayers.

Glad to hear some positive news buddy, nothing scarier than Kidd's being sick.

That is great news, I'm glad she got to come home from the hospital and all is well as can be. Next is to find out how to take care of that condition she has. We'll keep praying for her and you.

Happy 35th Goode!!!

An old guy goes to his doctor for his physical and Gets sent to the Urologist as a precaution.
When he gets there, he discovers the Urologist is a Very pretty female doctor.
The female doctor says,"I'm going to check your Prostate today, but this new procedure is a little Different from what you are probably used to.
I want you to lie on your right side, bend your knees, then while I check your prostate, take a deep breath and say,"99".
The old guy obeys and says,"99".
The doctor says, "Great",now turn over on your left side and again, while I repeat the check, take a deep breath and say,"99".
Again, the old guy says, "99".
The doctor said, “Very good”.
Now then, I want you to lie on your back with your knees raised slightly.
I'm going to check your prostate with this hand, and with the other hand I'm going to hold on to your penisto keep it out of the way.
Now take a deep breath and say, "99".
The old guy begins,
"One....two…three…"

Are you sure the guy in the story isn't you? :)

No because it said "old guy"!
I'm very old.
:flipoff2:

I've decided to go with some 3M vinyl to cover up the chrome and gold badges and grill instead of doing the removal/sand/prep/paint/reinstall. Long lasting, look just as good and can be removed with ease if I ever decide to sale it......thoughts?

Hopefully this isnt too far off topic....

Possible impromptu get together:

I am a scout leader for our church's cub and boy scout units. We normally do a couple of pancake breakfasts in Jan/Feb time frame. These are great for small group get togethers. This sat is the club scout event.

"Cub Scout Pack 12 is having their annual pancake breakfast this Saturday from 8-10am @ Chili's at Mabry Hood, West Knoxville.. If interested, just show up. Tickets are $5 at the door."

Hey guys, being new to town, I don't know who to call. There's a leak in my roof where the vent from the water heater flows. It's probably simple but because of the pitch of my roof and the height off the ground I don't feel comfortable. Is there anyone y'all can recommend?
