What's new in the land of roof racks? Originally I was hyped on the Prinsu design but as time goes by I've been leaning more towards the Sherpa design cuz it seems they have a better foot design that doesn't require me filling holes with silicone. With that said I'm not super excited about how the front of the rack bumps up with the windshield trim. More recently I've been eyeing the frontrunner slim platform but that rack appears to lack slots on the sides to add adapters/lights/handles/etc like the Sherpa and Prinsu. Also not sure if the front two crossbars are adjustable as I'd still like to use sunroof? Anyone know if the FrontRunner half rack will support a full size RTT? I guessing it doesn't. Anyways always interested in others opinions if something new exists. Anything but a basket. Thanks

On the Front Runner Slimline 2 rack for 200 LC, the slat that covers the sunroof cannot be removed as the mounting rails connect to that slat.

I'm not sure what you consider "new" but don't forget to look at Gamiviti racks. He is local and along with great products(lots of accessories/mounting bits) a super guy to deal with. If you buy from him you can drive up and he will help you install.

It's easy to focus on structure, street cred, etc. I would raise drag and noise as a big factor in the trade space to deciding which one.

The website recommends drilling to add forward support fasteners. It looks like a nice roof rack, but drilling the roof? Not a fan.
You don't have to though. It comes with feet that you can use instead. I wouldn't drill into my roof. This is the rack I might go with if they ever have a special on it.
