Went to renew my tags at the revenue office, and they gave me a 1964 silver quarter back in my change. Currently worth around $3.50 (in silver).

Man, this place is beginning to look like ARTTORA.. I don't like it.
You'll have to give me a definition on ARTTORA.
I'll see if I can't get a discussion going. I want to take my boys camping soon in this glorious spring weather...if it ever stops raining. Are there any trails near by that you can camp on as well? Something that my stock 80 can handle hopefully with a scenic view.

Well, post up something! I've been busy with kids (softball and baseball), work, and tinkering on my cruiser getting ready for Moab. Currently putting in real gauges (not Autozone cheapos) and fixing some issues with my transfer case.
Arkansas TTORA (Toyota Territory Off Roaders Association). Most of us migrated from there to be closer to TLCA and other clubs in our surrounding states.

Ouachita NF near Lake Sylvia and Lake Winona. You can make a wide loop and there are plenty of scenic spots, and lots of primitive camps along the roads.
Or if you are up for a little bit of a drive, I recommend Richland Valley near the Buffalo. Start off of Hwy 16, hike around Pedestal Rocks, visit Falling Water Falls, camp at the Richland Creek campground, hike up the creek to see the waterfalls, head NE through Richland Valley, attempt to cross the Buffalo at Woolum Ford, and if it's too high, double back and hit Hwy 65 via Snowball, AR and Hwy 74. Stop at Fergsons or Courseys at the top of the hill just north of the Buffalo, or the Daisy Queen in Marshall, to celebrate your journey. Your welcome.
This looks awesome. After a little google mapping it looks like I need to follow Searcy 14 HWY or Ozark Highlands Trail. Those river crossings make me a little nervous. The 2 crossings that you have to make after the Decision Fork point (creek and Buffalo) are the worst ones. You might not have enough tire/lift for them but I had no problem one year, and the next the Buffalo was too high for my situation. Still worth the trip to the Buffalo even if you have to backtrack and exit out of Snowball.

We found a really awesome camping spot in Ouachita NF right on the water with a nice big ol tree with a swing out over the river...nicest site I've seen in a long time that you could drive up to...I'm trying to remember what road it was off of...one of the dead end trails 7 something...
Count me in. I like to float and drink beer. Heavy on the beer drinking part.

no, not on one of our outings...it was on the far side of the NF...we ended up coming out of the NF on AR-7 if I remember right...took forever to get back to Conway...I'm looking at the map...with some studying, I might be able to figure it out...

When you're buddy says your suspension can't even flex that much...
This looks like a blast. The weather would be great now, but surely the water is too high from all the rain. If you went in the hottest part of the summer the water would be down but it would be too dang hot to hike or camp. CHOICES!! I was planning a fall trip to Pettit Jean but this looks way more fun.
