I'm 90% of the way towards getting an Expo Gamiviti rack for $800 shipped, unpainted.
Alternatives in the price ranges are Baja Rack, which is powder coated, shipped for roughly $950.

The Gamiviti has 4 light tabs to mount driving lights, but I'm not sure how I'd get a guard for them.
The Baja Rack has a $200 7 inch lightbar attachment that includes closures for the 4 lights.

What have people done to their Gamivitis to accomodate accessories? Light bar, various mounts, ladder..?

I may go for the Baja due to the accessories. They seem very simliar... - the baja has less capacity due to the .5" tubing in the center whereas I believe Gamiviti is 100% 1".

Maybe I don't need any branch guard. The lights seem pretty tough anyways... Opinions?

I had a Rigid 40" bar on my roof rack and currently run them on a Gamiviti load bar and gutter mounts. I used the cradle mount for the light bar, seems sturdy enough, plus my RTT sat higher than the light bar anyway:grinpimp:

Blah, an LED bar is different! :P!

I'd go for the Gamiviti if branches hitting unprotected lights is generally okay.

Actually, the Expo rack is powder coated. Two of the flat racks are unfinished ;)

Wow that's great! Was planning to rattle can it :D

Do you know of anyone who has used a rack ladder on this? I wonder if the rhino ladder would work.

I guess I won't care about the light guards. I'll just throw up the lights.

Generally depends on your speed an the size of the branch, YMMV!

Haha, true!

I just ordered the rack either way. Excited to see it! Glad I didn't almost try building one myself. Dodged a bullet (from myself).

i actually did build a copy of the flat rack and ordered the mounts from gamiviti. have my 52 inch light bar on it, and havent had a problem hitting branches. the led light bars are pretty well built

How are you guys wiring your lights? I am thinking of adding two HDs on my Gamiviti Expo rack.

Chris, I think out the grill behind the hood then up the channel next to the windshield is the best bet. When you get a snorkel you can also use that to help hide/route the wiring... I think Treeroot has this setup? Stare at his sometime..

One other option is you do have at least one unused set of roof rack bolt holes, if you pulled the headliner down a little bit you could poke wires through one of those nutzerts- I had this setup on my 80 for an antenna for a while. Would be pretty clean though, the wires could then sneak through the same opening in the channel as one of your rack towers-

Or just get the drill out. :D I personally don't like wires running through door & window openings for installs that last longer than a weekend. When I get around to putting lights up there, I'll most likely go the windshield/snorkel route.
