Thinking fri night part way/ sat morning rest of way. I'll prolly keep heading north after that.

Taking my 74 40, so no AC. I like traveling during the better parts of the day.

Gimme a call if you want to go with.

Oh, by the way...by "go with", i mean drive ur rig. :) My two seats are full.

K going again tomorrow

Ended up having to work that weekend so made it up to the turn off by Kentuck's Grave and came back with the few hours I had.

Turns out the Forest Service must have a new sign maker. This was the "road sign" i found indicating which way to go. :)

It was a fun trip

My boy and dog and I rolled out at 9:30 a.m. from Phoenix and topped out in Crown King at 4:30. The trail was pretty good. The last climb up from Wasson base was very rocky and required full concentration. We saw a couple dirt bikes and some quads, but no real traffic. There was a guy way up on top with a medium sized dozer spreading some dirt around. He scooted over so we could get by. After topping off the fuel tank, we were so pumped we decided to keep going up Sentator Hwy (eh...senator dirt road) to the 177 turn off. We bailed to the tar and made it to some friends house up in Prescott. Then we came back to the valley via Skull Valley, Yarnell, Wickenburg. It was a nice time.

That trail is pretty skinny. FJ-40 worked great. I don't think i'd take anything too long. Ground clearance is a must.
