Not familiar with these for our rigs but why not the Icon setup IPF setup - hugely improved ride quality and designed specifically for the rig...

I am waiting on my OME suspension & Icon's to show up..... having riden in a friends stage 2 setup I can hardly wait, they are super smooth and very controlled for the size of the truck.... I spent a day riding msolty diurt roads and some fast highway and was impressed with all aspects.

Not the cheapest but if it's a long term hold then it seems money well spent...

According to the PO these OME shocks have 100k miles on them

I'm pretty much in love with how our 100 rides on and off road with the icon setup.

Can you elaborate on your setup? Your signature line says stock, but you also mention the ICON setup. Just shocks, or anything else suspension-wise? Springs and t-bars? Any bumpers, sliders, etc. adding weight?

Very interested as my '03 TLC has about 75k miles on my OME setup, and I'm starting to think new shocks. I'm stock other than the OME kit with 865's and a diff drop kit.

TIA

I have my torsion bars cranked, some 285/75r16, SPC upper arms and the icon reservoir shocks.

Looking to replace me worn out OME 60000, 60002 with some of these:

Thoughts/comments?
Too many other good shocks out there sold by vendors with decent websites (and staffed with helpful people). I'd be leery of these considering the forum is full of people who have these trucks for 10 plus years and the deCarbons have never been mentioned. They could be ok, but I'd rather not chance it unless you have seen in person and can tell they are well made. Just my $.02.

yep, thats how my co-worker got them. He used to work for GM and before they switched to chinese, he was able to grab a ton of different sizes/models.

Side note, does anyone know the dimensions and stroke length of the OME 60000 and 60002 shocks?

I'll stay with Bilstein's. Work for me. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Got it, thanks!

Also, any way to be sure my OME shocks are worn out?
Take them off and feel how they respond. Or do the old shock rebound test by rocking each corner of the truck? Maybe find someone local with a good shock to compare to? I took some OMEs that felt "ok" that I could could compress with 10% effort. I threw those away immediately. New felt so much better.
