Specifically a bumper pull, not a goose/5er. I have an Excursion so they are not options. I'd like to hear what people's experiences are with a dual car hauler, like a 34 footer or something.

Something like this-

Many coast to coast trips with a 34-36' bumper pull trailer. I tow with a 2001 3500 diesel dodge. I bought the truck new, just to tow cruisers around.

I would recommend a weight distributing hitch. On my dually we just moved the trucks around till it was good. Excursions are good tow rigs, but you need to get tongue weight spot on.

As long as everything is good, set up right, no issue. Nothing is an issue until that oh s*** moment. Behind a excursion I would want brakes on both axles, working break a way, solid safety chains(not j hooks). Fresh tires all around.

All that said, safety at 55mph vs 85mph are very different.

I would rock it in the slow lane, and be very careful in heavy traffic.
