So, I've seen some people claiming that the 15", 3.75 backspaced Cragar Nomad I and II wheels work (I assume because it works because of how the inside of the wheel is shaped compared to, say, soft-8 or d-window style wheels of the same backspacing).

What I'm wondering is if anyone can actually verify that they are running, or have run these wheels without spacers. I'm looking at the 15x8 Nomad II in particular.

Follow-up question; do 1/4" spacers allow for the crucial greater-than-1.5-stud-widths of thread engagement on the stock wheel studs?

yes there are many people running them on here.

i ran them on a 60 i owned.

you can even run a cragar soft 8 16x7 with 4 inch backspace with no spacers and have no issues.

1/4 spacers are fine also.

don't over think it. get them from summit racing or get them to price match the lowest price you can find.

also search there are 14 billion threads about this very wheel on here.

Weirdly enough, 99% of the results I get from searching are people listing the dang wheel in their sig line, in unrelated threads, and the remaining 1% were people talking about how they weren't sure if they worked without spacers. Otherwise I wouldn't have started a thread to ask about it...

Thanks, though! Looks like I just have to figure out what tires I can afford...

I run a 1/4 in wheel spacer on all my truck it's hard to find 3.5 back spacing wheels to clear the tierod and even then some hit the caliper . With the small spacer "almost"'all wheels fit ... I do run ET nuts on my alum wheels for more stud engagement .
