Hey all,

MissipBoy was looking into this for me, but I thought a second opinion would help ensure our numbers are correct.

Does anyone still have stock springs on a 1979-1983 fj45? I have a BJ44 and need to get measurements of the stocks springs for Alcan to ensure the proper spring manufacture.

They need the measurements from the spring pin, along the top leaf to the center of the eye, both front and back. I'm assuming that the springs are even left to right, but if anyone could measure the four stockers for me I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

I have my set sitting in the back yard if your interested?

sorry for taking so long-i hope i haven't held you up.

i did the best i could with the springs being on the truck. i measured from the center pin to the spring eye on all measurements. i did not run the tape along the curve of the spring but tried to measure from where the center pin would be and then straight to the spring eye.

front springs should be same as a 40. front left and right were 24 center to front spring eye and 20 from center to rear spring eye.

rear springs were 26 1/2 from center to spring eye on both front and back and left and right.

hope this helps. and i also hope these are correct measurements.

I have seen posts from a few people here that have ordered springs from Alcan for a 45. Why doesn't Alcan have the measurements for the 45/47?
