Just bought a 2017 and noticed part of the passenger seat belt plastic is missing and the belt won't slide up and down as it should. First photo is passenger side with missing piece, second is driver side where the bolt is covered. Any ideas before I try to take it all apart? Thanks...

There was a recall for the passenger belt system that affected the '17. It required belt replacement and either yours was not done correctly or not at all. Get the dealer involved to R&R the problem because the recall work is free and important to fix if not done right.

Fantastic. Thank you.

It’s not missing - it’s installed incorrectly. That bolt sits inside the button area. You have to remove the trim panel and reinstall it - 10 minute job but requires removing front and rear door sills as well as lower plastic.

You were 100% correct. I removed/loosened the various pieces or trim, repositioned the cover, and now everything looks and works as designed. Thanks for the advice.
