Anyone here run a rear sway bar on their leaf sprung rigs? I'm looking at putting a rear swaybar into my BJ74, whose done it, pro/cons? I have fitted one to the front, improved onroad handling, fast dirt and the car behaves a little nicer offroad with minimal loss of flex.

The TLC79's have sway bars in the rear - you might look on TOYODIY and check all the parts needed. (you can always add a sway bar to anything if your willing to make the brackets) I recently installed sway bars on a batch VXR with the KDSS system.

Its not a sway bar - but we build a number of armored cars and APC's based on the TLC 70 series. We have just made a prototype that is............

upgraded leaf springs - Ironman
dual shocks for each side - Custom Ironman shocks made for Streit
coil spring as a bum-stop between chassis and leaf spring - Toyota OEM front spring

We will be testing it this week and next - if it works out i'll post more details.
