Great trail! Plan on taking the full day to run it. The aravipa canyon at the end is a great payoff to camp at the end of the day.

Tell someone your plan it could get pretty lonely out there if you have problems

No doubt! It isn't a run I'd like to do with one vehicle. I've been wanting to run it for years but all of my pals have been afraid to mess up their rigs. However one of my buddies has a built Taco and isn't afraid. So I'm thinking post-monsoons. I wish I'd gotten in on the April run!!

My Dad and I took my (now his) 99 100 w/ rear locker, stock suspension, sliders, and 33s through Klondyke and Turkey Creek in Sept but didn't get all the way to the Rug Road. Got close but we were alone so didn't want to push our luck. Dragged the rear end a couple times and screwed up the towing electrical harness bracket but she did great besides that. Beautiful country out there.
