With lots of concerns by people due to ride, alignment, etc. etc. I'm thinking more and more that what I really want is to replace the AHC in my lx470 with a stock land cruiser suspension. I'd still like Slee to do it, don't know if they do only lifts or will do stock suspension replacement. I'm running 265/R75/16s and only do mild off roading. What do you guys think?

Pretty sure you'd be the first...

Been done tons of times, plenty of threads on it. Slee will certainly do it.

I plan on doing it, but only after I ride out my AHC as long as I can. Don't buy into the FUD.

I think you would be crazy to do this based on the concerns of others if yours is working fine. I'm sure Christo would be happy to do it if you wanted him to.

My AHC isn't working. I knew that when I bought my 2000 lx470. So I had planned to put a mild lift kit (1.5" OME") on it, but when I see the need for a diff drop, hear about leaking CV joints, the need to buy UCAs and maybe not be able to have Toyota / Lexus align it after the lift is installed as well some folks complaining about the harsh ride (I know about that I owned a 56 Dodge Power Wagon with 13 leafs on each wheel in my youth), it gives me pause. I'm scheduled for AHC removal and a 1.5" lift in June at Slee. I"ll call Christo next week and ask his advice.

I did, I was very happy. They did a beautiful job. I went with their OME 1.5" lift, diff drop and SPC UCAs. I would not do the SPC UCAs again, since I've learned that they aren't really necessary with a 1.5" lift and I swapped out the OME Nitro Sport shocks for Toyota 2000 landcruiser OEM shocks, what a difference!

Which springs did you go with? 866? 865?
