Anyone rebuilt a Warn 8274 (1 Viewer)

Looking for some club assistance here to try to get this thing sorted before my alignment Wednesday. Main shaft isnt budging out of the case. Thanks!

I have rebuilt 2 Darren what isn't moving exactly?

Shaft for the motor? Did you remove the sliding plates that shim in along the sides of the case?

I did move the shims. Not sure what’s going on here.

no idea how that comes apart but i do have a 50 ton press if you need it

drew, isn't that shaft just held in by the seal. i seem to recall just using a screwdriver and prying against that retainer thingymebob on the inside of the case and it pops out. perhaps a little heat may be required but don't remember. it was back in the 80's when i broke mine and had to tear it apart. youtube might help

Motor shaft should just slide out of the armature bearing. I just had to lightly tap the outside of my housing to break the seal IIRC. See this guide for step by step breakdown photos.

I agree most of the parts on mine seemed press fit and needed some heat, penetrating oil and some coaxing to get them out.
