Just wanted to share a source for BF Goodrich
All Terrains in 285-75-16's selling at only $159 a piece. The tires are the D rated ones (not E) which offers a slightly softer sidewall for better flex when off road. Part number is 77118.

Onlinetires.com link:

I ended up giving my business to discounttiredirect.com since they were able to beat the "shipped price" (sale price plus shipping). "TC" was very helpful and the transaction was smooth.

I should have my 33's sometime next week. =]

Has anyone else tried this? I need tires this week. I have always got the load range E will the lower load rating make much of a differance?

I think they might be able to give you the same price on the E's... The E's are listed at $6 less per tire at the discounttiredirect site. Give TC a call to see if they can give u the discount price. =]

Search reviews and the BBB for Onlinetires.com

I would not risk buying from them to save a few bucks.

If discount tire will match their price I dont care who they are. Thanks for the E advise.

Only $10 more for 305/70 16 BFGs, and their shipping is alot cheaper than discountwheelwarehouse or discounttiredirect at $105 for 4 tires. I might see if the local discount tire store will do a price match. I wanted Open Country A/T or Terra Grapplers, but BFGs at $169 a tire is tough to beat...even if you add in the cost of shipping at roughly $25 a tire, thats STILL only $195/tire for 305s.

We have America's Tires out here and that is exactly what they did with mine. The went online to verify the price and shipping and then matched that.

FWIW I like my OC A/Ts more than the BFGs.:meh:

I understand that all of the slee goodness adds some weight, but I'm not sure E's are still necessary. Friends with 1 ton powerstroke fords use E's for towing 10k lb trailers. I think the 8 ply D's should be fine. =]

I was very pleased with the nittos on my Yukon, but I've known lots of people who dig the BFGs. I wouldn't mind giving the OCs a try, but its gonna come down to money, straight up. How do the OCATs wear compared to the nittos? Roughly the same tire, correct?

I dont know, I've driven like, 500 miles with these things, still have the nubs on the treadblocks. lol They're smoother and quieter than the BFGs. If you were pleased with the Nittos, I'd just get those again. The Toyo's are way expensive, but a nice, smooth, balanced & round tires.

Nice! Perfect timing too... I was just at Discount yesterday pricing tires. As usual, they mention if I find it cheaper somewhere else, they will price match the out-the-door price. They have the 285/75r16s BFG ATs in stock, so I can get 'em this week. I'm gonna take this to them and see if they bite. This is a crazy price! Thanks for the heads up!

For those who are also interested, they have just about as ridiculous price on the 285/75r16 Goodyear MTR Kevlar tires @ $235 ea. and then you get an $80 rebate on top of that. We have a set of these on our FJ Cruiser and they are awesome.

Keep in mind they will add shipping, install, and any fed fuel taxes to the tires to get an apples:apples match. I think Spressoman has the MTR Kevs on his 99 LC and is happy with them. You might want to ping him with a PM and get details on how they're working out.

BTW, a minor rant: Don't ever buy tires at Costco! They don't know how to be a tire store and actually refused to rotate the tires on our ES because of uneven wear (isn't that exactly why you rotate them?) even though all four were well above the wear bars.

They also told me that 295s and 305s are too wide for the stock hundy wheel:rolleyes:

Yep, they will only sell you what is shown on the door plate. Want to upgrade? No dice at Costco!

IIRC, it's fine to take some wheels to Costco and have them put whatever tires on. Just tell them it's for decorating your living room... :)

slight bit of a pain, though of course, but eh...

If you could get some kind of flat transparent glass surface to lay flat on a hundy wheel, it would make a cool coffee table:D

Buddy of mine has worked at Costco for years and years now...he says they are VERY liability concious, so much so that it makes it very difficult for the employees to operate in the gray area called "customer service". It's gotta be black and white or the managers get pissy. Needless to say, I won't be buying rubber there. Turds.
