Anybody ever swapped a 3FE into a 2F powered 60?

Did you have to change the motor mounts or modify the frame?

I am in the process of doing it right now. From what I have read you do not need to modify the engine mounts. Just things like the wiring harness, power steering, gas tank w/fuel pump, fuel lines, exhaust. I have the FJ-62 wiring harness in, the FJ-60 gas tank, fuel lines, front clip, power steering lines, and exhaust off. And you need to drill a hole for the engine harness to the ECU. Others have done it successfully before me so they may chime in. Are you keeping the H42? That would be the cheapest way to do it since nothing would need to be fabbed. I hope to have it donein the next two weeks. Good luck.

Actually, I'm transplanting a 12HT into it. I want to send the frame off to get dipped and powder coated, but I wasn't sure if I'd have to move the mounts when the engine came.

According to my sources, the motor mounts for the 3F3 in the FJ62 and the ones in the HJ61 are the same part number. Thus, if no modifications are required to the frame to accomodate the 3FE on an FJ60, then logically, the same holds true for the 12HT, right?

So In other words, I'm gonna go ahead and get the frame coated before the engine arrives and not worry so much about it. :)
