There are several nice looking rear bumpers out there for the 100 (really liking the ARB or Slee) but all the ones I've seen so far have tire carriers and/or roof access ladders. Does anyone make a simple but durable one without anything attached to it? I'd like to keep my spare mounted underneath for several reasons but would like a more durable rear bumper.

I think all the off-the-shelf bumpers for the 100 have the carriers sold separately... and the rest are custom where you can delete the spindle. Buying a rear bumper with the "option" to fit the carrier later makes good sense for changes in needs/desire and for resale. One could probably fab an antenna mount onto one of the spindles to hide it!

I have the new Slee rear with the spindle caps... a nice setup since I can remove the caps if I ever decide to buy a spare tire carrier and/or ladder.

I'm thinking the ARB rear bumper would look good without anything attached to it. Kinda got that FJ40 look going on with the small lights.

Slee Rear w/ no Swingouts

Here are some pictures of a Slee rear with no swing-outs, color-coded to the 100 Series:

BumpItOffroad will do it....that is route I would go especially because:

1. He now has a internal storage compartment for rear that will hold straps, chains, even a shovel.

2. Has new model that does NOT require removal of rear cross member to get tight fit and departure angle.

He was in town on vacation so went and met him and his BIL, DesertYeti. Very nice guy and I am sure he will do you right.

it was a joke just in case ya all missed it...

also that ARB one looks like ASS pun intended... just doesnt make the lines look right

I dont think it looks bad, it's just too many parts and pieces to worry about. ****s bumper is three pieces and a handful of bolts that really lock it down and make it a pretty stout bumper.

Nice rear bar Garth. Yours us the same colour as my LC100.
I'll be getting the wheel carrier though, on my list which used to be short, but seems to gain a few items every year!!
cheers
