Anyone lengthened a lunette?

Has anyone lengthened their cast lunette? I have a CDN M101 and rather then modifying the tongue of the trailer (I'd rather keep it close to original) I'd like to extend it approximately 9". I believe this will allow me to make sharper turns on the trail when needed. I even thought of making a new machined lunette but I'm sure the cost would be prohibitive.

Any ideas would be helpful.

I had mine lengthened but had a shop do it. I am sure you can fine a shop that can do the work. he got carried away with the mount of the safety cables.
