Anyone here installed a ARB Slimline BASE Roof rack light on their LC200? I like the idea that it can be mounted on the underside of the BASE Rack . I'm looking for any comments or observations using this light bar.

I got this lightbar yesterday and I will install it next week.

I installed mine last week, but I don't believe you can mount it underneath if you use the wind deflector.
The deflector has cutouts for the mounting hardware, but the lightbar sits in front of it as in the photo.
The only way to mount it below it is to not use the wind deflector. Wind deflector works so well that no way I'd remove it. I haven't wired it up yet, do I can't comment on effective range.

Good to know. Thank you. But ok even in the front its still „slimline“ and makes less noice.
Wiring will be also interesting ( Lightbar, Baja S2 for the rear and solar panel). Will have to do some calculations since 2mm^2 is a pretty big wire for a light… will see

I had mine mounted below at first and it looked great, unfortunately it made the sunroof vibrate. I'm guessing because of wind deflection. I moved it the front location and stopped the vibration. Still fairly noisy, but recently added the front 1/4 rack to the base rack and a pair of traction boards mounted sideways at the front of the rack and surprisingly everything got quieter. Also I've never mounted the wind deflector.

Mounted and wired.
Was a really neat job the cable from the holes I drilled in the roof to the battery to come through on the driver's side. For the hole in the firewall on the passenger side my cable cross section was too small.

The lightbar itself is wired with 2x 2mm^2 which seems to exist here in Europe. Here you can find only 1,5 or 2,5mm^2 and 2,5 also only mostly with three strands. So it became 1.5 with three strands because otherwise it would be overly thick.
On the driver's side you can't get through the big passage but I found a small hole about 20cm above the brake pedal where I could pull it through.
All in all I am very happy with the light. It makes when driving (have tried it to 180kmh - at more the AT tires feel like I'm about to fly) no more noise by the flat design and the light is super for my purposes.
At the same time I have still rear mounted a small Baja S2 Pro if I times somewhere in the undergrowth backwards must at night.

Any idea how much amp the fuse should have? I use atm a 30A and for the small Baja a 15A

Ps.: since I was not able to get some deutsch connectors in time I just cut them of and wired the cable directly………

Wiring time…

Thanks for sharing the light bar in action photos. It throws out a lot of light for something so thin.
I went the other direction on my installation. I ran the ARB wireloom through the BASERACK to the back and through the rear hatch into the headliner down to the sill trough on the driver side to the dash and through the firewall to the battery. Installer spent a good five hours on it. Unfortunately, the aftermarket switch was faulty, so that is as far as he got. I'll install the switch when it arrives

Also nice. Always pain in the ass to went through the rear hatch.
But I personally was not willing to spend 70€ for a few cables... so I was at ~12€…
For what are actually these orange covers on the lightbar good?

The ARB wire loom included relays and the fuse box at the battery so that saved my installer time to fabricate and install. The Amber covers are for fog, rain, dust and snow. The Amber covers lessens the glare of the hot white lights.

The 12€ are including fuse, relais and switch. Btw I can recommend relais with inbuild fusesboxes😂
