I'm kicking around ideas for my 60 series as far as engine swaps, upgrading 2F etc. Anyone local to PA do a chevy 350 swap in a 60 series or similar? Or better yet a diesel swap? Just trying to gain some pointers from someone local, or even find someone local who I could pay to do it.

Might want to cross post over to Bay to Blue Ridge or Gotham City--might be some peeps in those clubs with this experience? Not necessarily PA but close enough to maybe help...

PM Jeff. He did a diesel swap in his 60. He also did a ton of work to his pig which had a 350. Talk to Gary also. Craig and his dad and brother are cruiser wizards. Their last name eludes me at the moment, Gary has their info.

The Merkeys. Craig Merkey. Is that it?

i helped jeff swap the 2h into his 60 series, that swap turned out really clean and runs great

i also helped him pull the 350 out of his minitruck, and put in a 4.3 instead

as far as diesels go, the toyota engines are a great option if you can get a good deal on one, cummins 4BT and 6BT's are awesome engines, but sometimes pricey...as far as chevy stuff goes i would swap in a 350 before a chevy 6.2, the 6.2's are fairly efficient, but have problems with the blocks cracking, and dont have any more power than a stock 2f...let me know if ya have any other questions;)

alright good to see there are very knowledgable people in the area to do these swaps. Looks like Gary might be buying back the 60 off of me, it sounds like he could use it more than myself right now. I will keep my eyes open for an already swapped Cruiser, maybe I can find a diesel.

If I ever get a diesel Cruizah I will defintiely try to run it on waste veggie oil or make my own biodiesel. I helped my buddy design a system for his mercedes, pretty neat stuff.
