He guys I was wondering if any of you have any experience registering a lifted vehicle in MD. I have had problems in the past with anal MD inspection and would like some input before I purchase a lifted rig. Also if anyone has an inspection station that they recommend for one reason or another if you catch my drift please let me know.
Thanks,
Bahndo

It all depends on how you want to register it... If the vehicle is old enough you can register it as a Street Rod or Historic and you don't even need to have it inspected. Just go to the DMV and pick up your plates. If you plan to daily drive it you don't want to go this direction.

If you want to register it is a daily driver make sure it meets the bumper requirements by using stock springs or smaller tires, etc. Pass the inspection then build it up. Maryland does a one time inspection which is why it is so detailed. I would not even show up at a garage to inspect a vehicle in this state unless I knew there were no glaring issues.

28 inches ???

28 inches ???

From memory 28 inches max bumper height but I can't seem to find the exact number in print or on the Intenet.

Inspections shops have manuals with all the specifics.
