I recently bought a pair of Kensun Xenon HIDs 6000k low beam in the 9006 bulb size and I was wondering who else has tried these? I had to take the right front headlight housing out to clean out some sediment and I decided to go ahead and replace the stock halogen bulbs with HIDs.

For anyone who has/had these, were they good quality? Did the 9006(HB4) bulb size fit a 100 series headlight housing? Did you have to do any modifications to make it fit? Where'd you mount your ballasts?

no modification simple fitment, if you have hard time fitting the bulb just loosen up back mount on the light housing 3 screws you will see them baluster use 3M double stick tape and mount to the anywhere body , 6000 is the best color

I got a couple buddies with some Kensun 6k & 8k's and they really like theirs.

Will an additional wiring harness such as this one be required for installing the HIDs?

So what's the benefit of the Kensun units over what DDM offers? They're twice the price, so just wondering since I've been close to pulling the trigger on a set. Why did you choose the Kensuns?
Same question here...no issues with DDM's on my low beams and fog lights.

As to the relay harness...my low beams are 50W and use the harness. Fogs are 35W and work just fine without the harness. You could also consider double-sided Velcro to mount the ballasts...cheap at Wally world.

@krice118 Yes I love them! 35W 6K and I love the crystal white light with only the slightest tint of blue. My left front did fail on one trip back from the lake but after a quick investigation I found a lose connection and it solved the problem.

@hankinid I am not completely sure of the benefits of Kensun over DDM as I have had no experience with DDM but I purchased the kit for $56.79 off Amazon. How well has the Velcro held up on rough trails? I mounted mine with zip ties behind the blinker-light housings.

Awesome. I just ordered the 55w ones! Did you end up needing that additional wiring harness?

No problems with the Velcro. Low beam ballast on passenger side is mounted next to the parking light, on driver side it's stuck to the vertical surface to left of the battery...no room I could find next to the parking light. Fog ballasts are stuck on top of the fog lights...I gently brushed the tops of the lamp housings and cleaned with lacquer thinner before sticking on the Velcro.

@krice118 Nope, the additional harness is unnecessary. I ordered it just in case I needed it but now its just taking up space in my workshop. If for some reason you need it let me know and I'll ship it your way.

@TheForger sounds good man! I see your in little rock. I'm in Oxford MS know of any good trails near us?

@krice118 I'm not too familiar with that area although I do know Holly Springs National Forest is nearby, not sure if there are many trails. I usually hit trails in the Ouachita National Forest. They're beautiful and even a stock LC like myself can make it with A/T tires. Got caught in a thunderstorm at the peak of one of the mountains once......not a fun experience.
