I am still in the process of finding out why my ARB did not come with the right hardware. does anybody have a up close pic of your ARB mounted?? I think I am missing something. My bolts are not correct either. I do not have the 4 bolts that go in the top part of the frame mount. Any pics would help.

Did you buy it new?

You should have 4 x 12mm bolts from the bottom (Longer Ones). 4 x 12mm bolts from the top (Shorter Ones), 3 x 10mm (I believe) bolts on each side. Then there are two long 5/8" (about) bolt that are used for the fairlead.

There are also some smaller ones for the license plate bracket and solenoid box mount.

are you talking about a bull bar or a roof rack?

Since he said "frame mount" I'm assuming bull bar.

yes it is new. I just got off the phone with ARB and they said I got the wrong mounting kit. I got the mounting kit for a 75 series but he said it should work but I will have to buy few bolts for it.

They said sorry, they can't send me the kit. I already opened mine. He said just pick the bolts up at the hardware store! Oh well, I am just missing a few bolts, I think??

Bs

That's total BS. It was their screw up so they should send you the right kit to fix it. You obviously didn't talk to the right person or cuss and yell loud enough over the phone! :D

My bud Andy got an ARB bar with a dented hoop, missing the fog lights and they sent out the right stuff A.S.A.P. at their expense and he had certainly opened it.

I'd try again.

why should YOU be responsible for securing the correct hardware? THAT'S ABSURD!

i'd nicely ask again them, and if they don't agree to make it right, ON THEIR DIME, then you post back here and inform everyone. ARB gets real good money for their products. you paid. they owe.

Who did you purchase it through? Straight from ARB? (Just like to keep in mind who NOT to deal with)

OK here is the deal. Not the best but I guess it will work. ARB made me pay for the mounting kit ($37.01) and will ship it to me today. I then have to pay for the shipping of the old kit back to them and they said when they recieve it they will send me a check for the refund of $37.01 and the amount it costs for shipping. I am not really sure why they made me pay for the mounting kit but he said something about not being able to ship it out wihout paying for it. I hope all goes well!! I will let everyone know next week if I get my check.

I got the bumper from 4 wheel parts here in portland. They had a sell for 12 months no interest so I couldn't pass it up. I am dealing directly with ARB on the mounting fix.

Tim

If you haven't already, uhhhhhh..... call 4 wheel parts? They sold it to you, it's probably their fault.

You shouldn't have to pay for anything. If you are, you are seriously getting fawked.

As an ARB dealer, it should have been the dealers responsiblity to see you right. From ARB's point, it is pretty fair to charge the kit and then credit back when you send the old one back. You should have called 4WheelParts and had them arrange it. Then you would not be out of money.

The Guy at ARB said 4wheelparts should have to deal with it but he told me that they would take forever to get it right so ARb decided to deal directly with me. Everything should work out fine.

I guess this is just one more reason to not make buying decisions based on price. Yeah, it's tough not too sometimes when it's the same product no matter where you get it from, but I've had little issues before and the guys I deal with now make it good on their dime.

I buy everything I can from Christo, Cbizkit or my local shop OK4WD. Christo stands behind everything and is a super guy. Cbizkit is a great guy (don't tell him I said that though), and the guy I deal with at OK4WD (Chuck) is a cool cruiserhead too.

This is one reason why I deal with the folks I do. Sometimes things happen beyond their control, but they do everything they can to take care of you and you really can't ask for anything more.

Good luck once you get the right stuff.

I just hacked up my ARB today :D. BTW, who was the lamo on here the other week complaining about the weight of these things? With the M12k, just pick them up and slide them on. One little whack to get it seated with the BFH and it's good to go :D
