Hey,

I thought that I would share this with everyone. If anyone has a netbook and wants to make it a touchscreen, here's how to do it for under $100.

Netbook Touchscreen

I hope that this is of help to some of you :)

you couldn't resist, just had to go get it. now you need to go get the garmin entena and mapping software before Oregon this Wednesday. if you download nroute you can plug mine in and have voice commanded directions.

That would be nice. I just picked up a refurbished HP 10" netbook from Futureshop Online for $279 with a 16GB solid state drive. I bought it for travelling, and eventually GPS for the truck.

The netbook looks and works great, it does what I am going to use it for. Now I can go anywhere there is WiFi access. I do wish I could get rid of some the programs, or move them to the 2gb of extra storage this package came with. I just need the Garmin GPS kit, and a car mount. The maps will probably take up the rest of what ever there is left of the 16gb of memory. The 3cell battery it comes with will last about an hour or so.

Thanks guys, I will try that. The Netbook came with it's own copy of XP SP3 for HP. I'm going to try out some of the programs a bit more, to see if I like them or not. I was going to get rid of IE, and just use Fire Fox, but it wont let me remove it.
