I'm wanting to attempt making a fiberglass overlay over an old cracked fj60 dash cover. The dash pad covers suck, usually don't fit well and look cheesy.

I'm wanting to take a swing at fully recovering one with fiberglass and adding some gauge pods.

I have a good one in my cruiser but it's a DD and i'm not sure how well i could keep the gauge cluster in place without the dash pad to attach it to. It will take atleast a day for the fiberglass to cure and then paint.

If anyone has one laying around that is collecting dust that i could get...preferably cracked, scrap, something that you would probably want to trash i'd gladly take it off your hands.

I'd like to get one for cheap...possibly free...if it turns out well i'd gladly duplicate one for you. I've done a good amount of body work but never done much fiberglass work other than custom gauge pods. I'm pretty sure i can get one to turn out very nice but it would be nice to have a junk one to play around with and have the ability to take my time.

i saw a thread on mud about someone who did this. It was amazing how well it looked when he was done.

that is about what i'm going for!

I have one in an 81 60 I am either going to part out, or sell without a motor/trans/xfer,, hell I may pull the hubs/birfields/axles...... in Elberton GA...

how much you wanting to get for it?

I'm also needing a few other 60 parts if your parting it out.

I need the rubber bump stops that go under the hood. Need one but would like a spare

4 chrome bumper bolts

would like one front side marker light.

How far is that part of GA from Greenville?

4 chrome bumper bolts

Are you talking about the carriage bolts? I might have some that didnt need to but cut off when the arb was installed. I would have to look around to see if i can find them.

yes, the carridge bolts

seems like mdennis has a parts 62. Pm him and see. He is in blythewood i think.

I found some bolts, some are longer than the others,, I have no need for them so if you come to get the dash you can have them, dash is free too,,, you just have to not bust up anything else getting it out...Ill look at is this weekend to see if it is any good...and for the other parts... email me to remind me sometime monday...

depends on how you drive, Ive heard 2 hours,,,or like me 2.5

I don't care if the dash is good or not (pad wise) as it will be fully covered in fiberglass when i'm done with it. To be honest with you the uglier the better!

I'll be taking about a week off of work in the next 2-3 weeks, i'll try to make it by while i'm off.

can you shoot me a PM with your email?
