Anyone fabricated their own turbo manifold for a 3B ?
Or know someone who has?

I would like to afford the AXT kit yet pockets do not comply

Could it really be that hard ?

Yes it could really be that hard. It's much harder than building an exhaust.

No, I don't know of any home-brew manifolds yet- but I am looking for one for my 80 as well!
