Anyone ever swap a toyota 5 speed in a FJ80 with a 3fe?

Our Aussie petrol 80 series used the h150 gearbox
i pretty sure the turbo diesels 80's had the h151

Not sure about the 80 series with a h55f stick position
but in the 75 series cruisers hj/2h, fj/3f and hzj/1hz the h55 stick is right under the A/C ductining so to speak and the stick leans right back were as the fzj/1fz petrol 75 series ute with the h150 box the stick is pretty much straight up and come out the floor closer to the handbrake

hope this helps

The h55's shift tower is way too far forward for the 80's. I think the over sea's model 5 speed was like a H151 or somthing? Anyone?

I thought you were doing a vortec and nv4500?

The H151 was with the 1FZ not sure what came with the 3FE in other markets

Its been done a couple times with the H55. You have to get imaginative with the shifter though as far as some bending and stuff. I don't think you can get a H150/151 behind the 3FE.

Edit: And those that have done it say it really livens the 3FE up.

Which fz's come out with the h151 mate?
i thought they had h151 till i bothered to check my tag the other week,Mine has h150 stamped on the tag
and another mudder from middle east said all there 1fz cruisers have the h150

These are AWD 80 series with 3f's ive nver seen the awd transfer on a h55 g box, so im prsuming these with have the h150 box combo bolted factory up to the 3fe
which means you can manualise your 3fe mate
