iv, been searching and didnt find anything so i figure id ask. has anyone ever tried to remove there drum break and use a all-pro style disk e-break set up? i wonder if its possible to do something like this on a fj-40? i mean the parts are dirt cheap form teh, but not sure how it would work exactly on a cruzer, i havnt gotten this far into my build but its been on my mind of ther eare disk optoins out there, or if they are even worth the money/time to do?..... i figure it would take a bit of machean work inorder to get it to fit but, not too much just cuting the stock drum down and fitting the disk, them mouting the caliper and hooking up some kind of cable?.... am i insane and barking up the wrong tree with this idea?

90buks for this.....

iv never had one owrk for very long befor needing work and such, as i sit i have to redo the whole thing so i figured why not slightly upgrade?..... maybe not?..... wiht my twin t-case set up i have i dont think the stock cable will work for me any how, so if iv got to change that why not keep on going w/ the brain damage? ahha....... or maybe no... being iv bever had one work properly im not sure its wroth trying to keep, is it?

thanks

I would just extend your cable and get new pads from toyota. Make sure you are not leaking any oil out the back of the transfer case and adjust it. It should hold as well as if not better than that disc setup. If you cnat get enough adjustment in your cable to hold, then the cable may be stretched and need to be replaced.

is it possible to extend the stock cable? i need like almnost 2' more lenght, or so it seems iv been playing around w/ moving the motor forward. a local shop that makes cables said they cant make the proper cable for the ebrak stock, so iv been flusterd what to do.

thanks
