Just came up on a long drive. Frayed wires or an oil control valve? I'm away from my fsm.

Control valves are the most common failure, but mine threw a different code when the valve failed. Can’t recall which one but it wasn’t that.

Is your engine running rough?

No it's running perfectly fine so far, couple 100 miles.
Where are they? I was hoping I'd find out I wouldn't have to expose the timing belt to fix it.

So both of those valves sit sideways in the top of the cam sprocket. Plain as day. I have a broken connector clip pass side so it wasn't connected.

Glad that was easy. Must’ve been partially seated because if the valve isn’t functioning the engine runs like it’s missing four coils.

it was barely in there.

housing part# is 90980-11162 same connector both sides. right hand valve part # 15330-50011 verify what side.
