Anyone Converted FJ62 Square to FJ60 Round Headlights

Hello Fellow Fanatics,

As I am sitting here outlining my "soon-to-be" FJ2 project, I can't help but think of how much I prefer the round headlights found on my previous FJ60; and let me qualify that by saying, like the "looks". I do not know how the candlepower stacks up, but that's what they make roof racks and light bars for

As best I can tell, I can retrofit the rounds into my 62, but was looking for any insight from those who may have already performed this conversion.

BTW: I will have a complete set of FJ62 headlamps/grille/bezel/ and all necessary items for any 60 owner looking to trade.....

I'm with you C2, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see how this works out for you.

It would seem like an easy swap, but when I've looked into it, it's a bit more work than I would have expected.

I would also trade 4 squares for a two round set up.

Not to pimp things too much here, but you are both going to need some different headlight wiring.......

And the 60 front end may look more appealing with those sexy round headlights, but the 62 lights on high beam with the right set up is awe inspiring.

nothing that wire twisting and electrical tape can't handle . Kidding aside, yes there is the issue of adapting the harnesses to work, but not a big deal.

Hi to all, in case anyone is interested, I have a pair of round headlights from a HJ60, with grille and trim. I want to do the opposite, and swap 62 front onto my 60!!! If anyone is interested in the swap let me know please. Bear in mind, I live in Ireland.

I (my mechanic) did the 2 eye mod to my 62 and it worked out very well. While I was at it I also upgraded the wiring harness and put in H4's....PLENTY of light. This is a mod that's worth doing. Good luck and let me know if I can answer anything specific.
